Tap is an exciting, percussive style of dance using shoes equipped with metal ‘taps’, with a rich history dating back over a century. Tap classes begin with a warmup to stretch the muscles of the legs and feet. Dancers practice a serious of basic tap steps, adding more difficult combinations and speed as they become more proficient. You will create rhythms and sounds, explore syncopation and feel the music through your feet. Level 101 (Absolute Beginner, no dance experience): Tuesday 8:30-9:30 pm or Thursday 7:30-8:30 pm
Level 1 (Beginner): Tuesday 7:30-8:30 pm or Saturday 11:15-12:15 pm
Level 1.5 (Beginner Plus, 1-2 years experience needed): Thursday 7:30-8:30 pm
Level 2/3 (Intermediate-Advanced): Thursday 8:30-9:30 pm
