ADULT DRESS REGULATIONS:
There are no specific dress requirements for adult classes, however it is recommended that you dress appropriately for a dance class. In most classes gym or yoga wear are suitable. Bodysuit and tights are most comfortable for ballet. For bellydance classes, it is recommended to wear tights and something around the hips to mark out the movements. Long hair is best pulled back off the face. For men, t-shirts and shorts or gym pants are fine.
Footwear is different for each class:
BALLET:
Ballet slipper (pink for ladies, white for men) with elastics.
JAZZ, MUSICAL THEATRE, DANCE INTRO:
Jazz shoe (ballet slipper OK for beginners).
TAP:
Tap shoes (low oxford style recommended).
MODERN, AFRICAN, BELLYDANCE, INDO-JAZZ, YOGA, FLEX & TONE, PILATES, STRETCH & RELEASE, HOOPING, LATIN FUSION:
Bare feet.
HIGHLAND:
Ghillies slipper (black ballet slipper OK).
IRISH:
Irish soft shoes. Black ballet or jazz oxford OK. Hard shoes will be discussed in class.
FLAMENCO:
Character or other hard-soled non-marking leather shoe with a 1-2 heel.
CLUB STYLES:
A clean, non-marking shoe, that is easy to dance in.
BREAKDANCE & HIPHOP:
New, white soled, non-marking, indoor runner.
