Colin Casey was born in Calgary to an Irish Immigrant father and Canadian mother. After seeing his sister advance in competition he took an interest and began dancing at age 5. By the age of 8, he had already won several Western Canadian Championship titles qualifying him for both World, and National Championships. He steadily advanced in competition dancing as he moved through his teen years. By the age of 18, he was an 8 time Western Canadian Champion, and a world medal holder in both solo and team categories. After graduating high school, Colin moved on to accept an invitation to dance in Australia and New Zealand with the Rhythms of Ireland Dance Company. After completing both a 2 month and 5 month tour performing in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Auckland, Colin is looking forward to touring with Riverdance in 2011.
