KIDS & TEEN DRESS REGULATIONS:

Dress regulations are few, but are enforced. These requirements provide a measure of uniformity and professionalism and aid to avoid distraction.

* DANCE SHOES are NEVER to be worn outside.

* BARE MIDRIFFS, BAGGY TSHIRTS, JEANS/DENIM are NOT permitted.

* JEWELRY & WATCHES are NOT to be worn in class.

* HAIR for all classes must be tied back securely off the face. Short hair is to be held back with barrettes or a hair band. Ballet students must have hair in bun - parents please attend first class for special instructions if unsure.

How To Make a Ballet Bun 

KINDERDANCE, MOM & ME:

Girls: Leotard and tights, any color or style (no tutus please!), bare feet.

Boys: T-shirt, sweat pants or shorts, bare feet.

BALLET:

Girls: PrePrimary & Primary Levels: pale pink - Mondor tank leotard with pinched bust; Mondor #316 tights (salmon); pink ballet slippers with elastics; pull-on pink skirt (purchase from studio).

Junior & PreInter:  Ainsliewear AW101 navy leotard -or- Mondor 1633 'true navy' leotard (pinched bust), worn with belt provided; Mondor #316 tights (salmon); pink ballet slippers with elastics, no skirt.
 
Intermediate, Majors & Teen Levels: Capezio Bra-Tekblack MC110 black leotard -or- Mirella M407LM widestrap camisole black leotard; Mondor #316 tights (salmon), pink ballet slippers with elastics.

Boys (All Levels): White t-shirt, black tights or lycra shorts, white ballet slippers with elastics.

MODERN, LYRICAL, INDO-JAZZ, DANCERS' STRETCH & STRENGTH, DANCERS' YOGA, AERIAL:

Girls: Leotard, footless tights, capris or dance shorts, any color, bare feet.

Boys: T-shirt, shorts or jazz pants, bare feet.

JAZZ, MUSICAL THEATRE:

Girls: Leotard, tights or jazz pants, any color, black jazz shoe (ballet slippers acceptable for lower grades). Jazz runners NOT allowed.

Boys: T-shirt, shorts or jazz pants, black jazz shoes (ballet slippers acceptable for lower grades).

BREAKDANCE, BOYS ONLY & HIPHOP:

Girls: T-shirt, athletic or yoga pants, clean indoor runners with non-marking sole (NOT to be worn outside the school). No jeans.

Boys: T-shirt, athletic pants, clean indoor runners with non-marking sole (NOT to be worn to and from school). No jeans.

TAP:

Girls: Leotard, tights or jazz pants, any color or style, low heeled black tap shoes (preferably oxford style for higher grades).

Boys: T-shirt, shorts or jazz pants, low heeled black tap shoes (preferably oxford style for higher grades).

JAZZ/TAP COMBO:

Girls: Leotard, tights or jazz pants, any color or style, low heeled black tap shoes and either black ballet slipper or black jazz oxford.

Boys: T-shirt, shorts or jazz pants, tap shoes and either black ballet slipper or jazz oxford.

HIGHLAND:

Girls: Leotard, tights, any color or style, black ghillies shoe.

Boys: T-shirt, shorts,  black ghillies shoe.

IRISH:
 
Girls: Leotard, tights or shorts, soft shoes (black ballet slippers or jazz shoes OK for lower levels) and hard shoes for higher levels (for lower levels, options for hard shoes will be discussed later in the year).
